In an attempt to make dinner that my increasingly picky three year old would eat, I made fondue the other night (inspired in part by this lovely lady's recent post). Used the super delicious and easy recipe from The WASP Cookbook (beer+ sharp cheddar +mustard + salt) and expected my kid would love it because it combines two things he loves, dipping and cheese. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when he asked if he could please have some ketchup to dip his food in instead of the "yucko" stuff. Sigh.
When the baby gets a little fussy in his high chair, he immediately brightens up if I sing "Pants on the Ground" to him. What does this say about him? Or me, for that matter??
In case I needed another reason to be excited for out upcoming trip to Florida (also known as the "February in Chicago SUCKS so let's get the heck out of town" Trip), I present you with reason #4,305: Sweet Waters, a Lilly shop located on the property. And the staff? Outfitted in Lilly.

Mr. TC sure knew what he was doing when he booked us at this hotel!

DYING laughing because I sing "Pants on the Ground" to my kids at dinner time, constantly. AND I showed them the YouTube video. Oh yes, AND my 3 year old sings it at school. I know this because she and her teacher told me. So whatever it says about you, sister, it also says about me :)
How sweet of us to include our fondue night in your post! Love the Ketchup comment -- if there is a condiment gene, the Lockard ladies have it too! Best, Mindy
FIrst of all, you now have the lyrics to that song running through my head and each time it happens, I giggle out loud. I will have to try singing it to Molly the next time she is losing it - I have a feeling she will be a fan too!
Secondly, we're looking into Marco Island Marriott, too! Let us know how it is - we have heard it is fabulous for couples and/or families. Have a great trip! Jealous.
Oh Miss TCP, that photo makes it look like bliss is mere weeks away for you and the TCP clan.
And i am sorry, you singing Pants on the Ground while entertaining Tiny TCP is too funny, it is a vision of cute and funny!
Sending you a smile,
tp
Have fun down on Marco Island, my family had a timeshare down there at Eagles Nest ---- good times!!
Oh, yes the weather does suck here in Chicago in February -- ha! ha!
It's a beautiful hotel, enjoy!
We stayed nextdoor in Feb. 2007 at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort.
Pants on the ground..so glad that chap got his 15 mins of fame, he made me smile, and thanks for reminding me of him. I make fondu for the children often, they love it and is so very simple for lazy days. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi, glad I found you blog.

Have a fabulous time!!!

It's always so much fun trying to get children to try new foods, isn't it? I feel your pain! And BTW, how CUTE is that hotel? That trip sounds great!
