What say you, Internet? God knows I love me some shearling, but is it worth doubling the price? I have some LL Bean dollars just burning a hole in my pocket....
I think it all depends on how you feel about socks. Something had to give in managing my household and my sock situation was it. So, I'd vote shearling b/c I never, ever wear socks! If you are more of a sock-wearer I think you could skip it.
Personally I would go with the shearling. It eliminates the need for socks when you're running a quick errand and winters here on the third coast are often brutally cold - there's rarely too much thing as too cozy.
I'm really going to sound like an enabler here but I say go for the shearling. Think about when you'll be wearing them - cold, rainy or snowy weather. Plus you know you'll have them forever.
Hmmmm......Both? No shearling for spring/summer when it rains and shearling for fall/winter when it's colder. I was going to say it depends on socks, but whether you wear thick or thin socks. If you wear thicker socks, you could probably go with no shearling, but if you wear thin socks you might want the added warmth of shearling.

I say sans sherling. You can always wear cute fuzzy socks.
I have both and I'd definitely recommend springing for the shearling.
Shearling! So much warmer!!! They'll last ages anyway right?
TOTALLY worth it. The shearling adds that certain je ne sais quoi. In fact, you've inspired me to go take a look at them myself!
I like them with shearling! So cute!

My first reaction was to go WITH shearling, because it's damn cold out and warmth is good!
BUuuuuutttt... I frequently get stinky feet. So, I say no shearling.
