So picture me, with the "double-wide" stroller on a "fast-paced jog through the neighborhood, ending with an upper body and abs workout in [their] enclosed playground." The things I will do to ensure that I can fit back into my regular clothes....
Clearly, new shoes are required for such an undertaking. Behold, my new (pink!) shoes. I won't even tell you how good of a deal I got on them, but suffice to say, I did not pay the shocking retail price. (Who knew shoes for sports were so pricey?? Thank goodness I only buy such things once every decade.)

I love Saucony's! They're the most comfortable running shoes evah! Strollercize will be fun (and humerous, for everyone, I'm sure!). Are you doing it with a friend?
Sorry to see that the boys are coughing a ton. Do you have a humidifier in their rooms? That will often help. Allergy symptoms have been a chief complaint in the clinic and at the hospital this week, so doing a nasal rinse once or twice plus keeping their rooms extra moist may help some! Often the cough is from a post nasal drip, so if you can get M to blow his nose before he goes to bed (a few times), it may also help. Baby W is harder as I don't think he's grasped the nose blowing concept yet!!
Hopefully they get better quickly!
OMG I totally had those sneakers too- about 10 years ago in college. How funny.
Seriously you must share where you found these!! They are so cute! And I am in dire need of new running shoes too (ok, it hasn't been 10 years but it's probably been close to 5!) and I got complete sticker shock at the Nike store the other day and had to leave. Who knew shoes were SO expensive?!
Three months post baby # 2, back in my clothes after 2 weeks, thank you French Women Don't Get Fat's leek cleansing diet!
Too funny, I'm sure it will be fun!
That's fantastic! I hope it's fun. I didn't know they had one in Chicago. Where is it?
My friend does Stroller Strides, and it sounds similar - good for your for overcoming your running aversion! I am sure it will be fun if you focus on the stories the other moms are telling, and not on the running :)
Can't go wrong with pink running shoes! Good for you...I'll take any cute incentive to make me work out!
Congrats! Good to hear that you're taking the initiative to get physical. I would totally join you if I was local. I don't have much motivation here because its too friggin' HOT!!! I told myself I would get up when Steve gets up for work so I can "work-out" before the baby wakes up. Psssssh...like that ever happened. But I do want to enroll Mady in swim lessons. Let me know how it goes...can't wait to hear all about it!
It's just at the YMCA...so we'll see. It's free, so nothing to lose by giving it a whirl!
The shoes are from DSW...under $50, plus I had a coupon! :)
