Secondly, I am peeved at eBay because I keep losing auctions for clothing for myself, but winning them for clothing for my children. Is the universe trying to tell me something?? I am not listening, if so.
Did anyone else pick up a few things at the Rue La La Vineyard Vines sale?? I missed lots of things, but did get this Tod's Point top in navy and in pink. Love the tiny anchors.

Interesting article from the Telegraph re Michelle Obama's perusal of the Boden catalog. Is Boden (and by implication, it seems, all preppy/Sloane-y fashion) really "a uniform for women who don’t quite get style and who, like their mothers before them, think it’s bad form to stand out"? Discuss.
We've got some big sales brewing for the holiday weekend...Nantucket Brand is having their Figawi sale with up to 75% off. I admit, I have never ordered from them, but the stuff looks SO cute. Any of you try them? Like? Love?
In the Pink also has a may-jah sale on Lilly kids...40% off with the code 0525.
Finally, if anyone is looking to buy me a gift for no reason? You could swing by the Tucker Blair site and pick up these fabulous needlepoint flip flops.
Love. Them.
Have a happy holiday weekend kids!

Okay you must be kidding--needlepoint flops? I need them now! I'm not into Boden. Great basics but too plain for me. I'm not sure what MO is going for but I think it's love of the common people. You are funny! xo
I did purchase a skirt at the Rue la la sale yesterday of Vineyard Vines. Hope it fits. Sometimes I have a problem with VV and them being small.
I guess it was time for the Chicagoland girls to get their hair cut. I sat in the salon for 2 1/2 hours today. Highlights and a haircut. When hubby heard the price he said that his hair only cost 8.99 to cut. I am so happy for him but mine is a bit different and it is a gals cut and highlites.
Have a good weekend even though it will be cooler than it has been these last few days.
Sharp! Have a great weekend. I bet Lake Michigan looks very inviting and beautiful from your side of the lake!

About Ebay, have you discovered those sites that bid for you at the very last second, so as to both avoid running up the price & get a last-second big in? I like eSnipe a lot.
About the Obama article, I love the implication that anyone who dresses conservatively doesn't understand fashion. You know, because it isn't possible I looked at the trend du jour & just didn't like it. Hmmph.
Well, I'm not the most fashiony person in the world - not by a stretch - and I like Boden. Some of it is a bit loud or pattern-y for my taste, but I like their classics. I tend to stay away from the prints that scream "Boden!" but I honestly don't think the women's line is that over-used around here. Now the kids' line, on the other hand, is everywhere now. Every boy on the north shore has the same appliqued tees my sons wear.
I think it's smart to cut your hair every now and then. It's only hair - if you don't like the cut, it will grow back. In the meantime, it's probably a lot easier to deal with now that you've got two minis!
I love me some TB and posted about these bad boys too. I am so your have cut looks fantastic. Have a fabulous long weekend!
xxxx me
I'm thinking of a bob as well. It's cute, and trendy.
Not much luck for me on Rue lala Vineyard Vines, so I decided to treat my husband!
