I had to do it...

A pretty ecclectic list, no? I don't think I really look like any of them, nor do I think they look like each at all, but whatevs. I also got a few random asian actresses that I didn't put in my summary because (a) no one--including me--knows who these people are, and (b) I'm not asian, so ummm, they really aren't my look-alikes at all.

It's an old picture, but I was not about to use a pregnant one where I have Huge Face, and that's all I had available at work. But it's a good memory. It was taken when I was sipping a champagne cocktail at a club in Majorca. Sigh, if only that's what I was doing right now...

Erin Go Bragh!

(You have no idea how much this phrase tormented me in elementary school, where certain young boys thought it the height of wit to add "-less" at the end of that sentence.)

We survived Florida and had a wonderful time. I wrote a lovely, proper post with all of the details (and pictures!) of what I wore, and fricking Blogger lost it. Am swamped at work, so the do-over will have to wait for now.

Enjoy your St. Patrick's Day celebrations this weekend! We'll be staying in tomorrow, but I did pick up corned beef and cabbage for dinner. Tonight is our big night out...going to see my secret boyfriend Harry Connick Jr. at the Chicago Theater. swoon.

And they're off!

Forgive my lack of posting, my life has been consumed by sleep training (going very well, thank you, Dr. Ferber: TCP Baby slept through the night for the first time last night!! Huzzah!!) and packing (not going quite as well, I shall need a truck to cart all this stuff to O'Hare).

We're off to Florida tomorrow--I can't wait for the warm weather, as it is now a balmy 15 degrees in Chicago! Wish us luck for TCP Baby's first flight--I'll be back next week to let you all know how it went. (I know, the suspense will just kill you in the meantime!)

I'm off to get a pedicure so that my Winter Feet will not shock and appall all Floridians. I leave you with this little tip for those of us who live in frosty climates, but still want to maintain the toes: Pedi-Sox.

Odds and Ends

  • I swear that Delia*s is not one of my usual shopping haunts (tend to stay away from shops that have a * in the name), but I was clicking on some links this morning, one thing led to another, and I found these super cute flats. And only $34! Who knew?

In the Pink has marked down some of the resort collection. For a limited time only, take 30% off by using the code 3549.

Word on the street is that Blueprint has a new issue out at last. I still haven't gotten mine, but I did discover that there is a Blueprint blog, Bluelines. Given how slow the magazine delivery is, I might stick to the blog from now on.
